Accurate renderings that depict materials as they really look are essential for convincing architectural visualizations. The material library from h2c does exactly this and their new mtextur plug-in offers seamless connectivity to CINEMA 4D.
BIM – Building Information Modeling – is an intelligent model-based process for comprehensive data gathering and collection for all phases of architecture, engineering and construction projects and beyond. Beginning in the conceptual phase, BIM makes it easy to create photorealistic comps using corresponding textures. These textures are also used in the creation of accompanying materials such as PDF or XML files. The mtextur library offers numerous textures arranged according to material type, color, use (floors, walls, ceilings, etc.) and manufacturer – from whom these textures are all certified.
The mtextur plug-in is available for both Mac and PC and offers direct access to the construction material HUB with over 32,000 textures. About 10% of these textures also have supplemental maps such as bump, normal, specular and more. The plug-in itself as well as the access and use of textures is free and no registration is necessary. The construction material HUB is available in English, German, French and Italian.
